Only Ever Tennessee Spring

On my walk

And on my lap.

I guess you could say this is my case for only visiting New York but living in Tennessee.

have a lovely weekend,

  2. I hear what you are saying. I grew up in the South, mostly, and now live in New England and right about now, I am REALLY missing those southern springs. In my childhood remembrance, they go on and on...In my adult rememberance, winter seems to do that here, but it does make the summers very sweet.

Reading your blog is inspiring me to want to (re)start embroidering and give quilting a try. Love your thoughtful and interesting posts. Thanks!

  5. I can hardly believe that it looks like that anywhere in this country - or anywhere! This winter (in CT) has been so long.
    Enjoy!

  7. That's why I choose Oregon. Today, it rained on and off, but we had the most amazing rainbow. Yesterday, there was a double rainbow. Everything is beginning to look fresh, hopeful and green.

  10. I grew up in NY and know what you mean. We lived in Brentwood for 8 glorious years 87-94. I LOVED it there, made many friends, wonderful place for my children to grow, designed Crockett Park and the Robert Leather playground, Civitan for ball, wonderful weather, great neighborhoods, daffodils that bloom in February. That alone is worth it. The children are grown, we live in the NE by the ocean, and I would still move back there in a heartbeat. It's good you don't take it for granted. Judy

Love the spring photo - we haven't seen spring in Maine yet although the calendar says it is officially spring. However, in light of spring, here is another bag that you might like as it features your Good Folks line: http://apeyleedesigns.blogspot.com/

Please bring Good Folks back!!! I can't find it anywhere.

  27. I just moved to Nashville from Florida 2 months ago and have to say this change of seasons thing is blowing my mind! I mean, how can you see bright, fresh blooms on a tree and NOT smile? I dare someone to not smile at that.

  28. Dear AnnaMaria,
Your blog is my hoempage, and I have to tell you again, I just find this first photo of Tennessee Spring captivating. I wish I could physically be right in it; DELICIOUS. Would you mind very much if I used it for my desktop wallpaper?

  29. FIrst of all, I LOVE your blog. For the creative soul, its so rich and inspiring with colors and life and creativity. My family recently moved from Tennessee to the midwest. It's still cold and wintery here and I'm longing for my Memphis Spring time. There was nothing like the feeling of driving early in the morning in the Spring in Memphis with your windows half down and smelling the buttercups and fresh air.
