The Showoff

the.showoff

One item I relished in making was this patchwork coverlet from an assortment of my new collection of printed cotton voiles called Little Folks. This also includes squares of the "Square Dance" printed panels that are printed on dobby dot cotton (similar to swiss dot). I will introduce you to them all individually soon, but going through photos now and wanted to start leaking them out.

It isn't very often that I make quilts with such large pieces. And though these are smaller prints, for the most part than I've ever designed, I was inspired to play with fields of them rather than cut them up too small or too complicated. I like how, as a whole, the squares of tinier prints take on a solid tone. Fun.

More soon ~ xoxo, Anna

  15. Sometimes looking at your to-do list makes me cry. Often this is in-a-good-way crying. It inspires me to get off my duff, stop feeling sorry for myself b/c one of my TWO children has... (fill in the blank)and think that if Super-Anna can do that, surely, surely, I can do something of use, as well. I'm drooling, drooling, drooling over these prints--where are the stripes I've seen pics of-- and itching for Monday to arrive so I can meet with the rep to figure out just which of these lovelies will join all your other lovelies in Hoot Baby's spring line. Keep up the excellent work, missy. I'm sure that someone in that big old houseful of people tells you how amazing you are every day, but in case they forgot, I think you're amazing.

As I am not in the industry, I have been waiting patiently to see your new stuff. Unfortunately, patience is not my strong suit so I went out scouring for Quilt Market posts to see if anyone covered what you had at your booth and I found this: http://pinkchalkstudio.com/blog/2009/10/14/quilt-market-fall-2009-westminsterfree-spirit/

Great stuff! So when will the shops start selling this gorgeous stuff and will you sell any through your site?

  51. In Australia, the word "Ugg" means "Boot". ugg clearance Ever since the '60's, Ugg boots have been in use by Australian surfers for warmth after getting out of cold water. When Ugg Boots migrated to California (along with the surfers), nice and cheap ugg boots the surfing community there also embraced the thermostatic boots (they keep you warm when it's cold, nice and cheap ugg boots while whisking away any moisture when it's hot).
