We recently sent some Studio Scraps to a very happy customer who let us know (in the customer comments section, no less) that she would be using said scraps as part of her wedding decor. We couldn't have imagined it more beautifully, and I was thrilled to receive images of the wedding.
Looking through the photos, (which you can find more of at the photographers' website-stunning!) it was evident that every piece of this day was put together with love....from this image of Amy's Grandmother imparting her wisdom to the guests....
...to the gorgeous quilts made by Amy's great-grandmothers and aunts that softened the hay bales seating everyone.
I'm pleased as spiked wedding punch that my fabrics were the teeny-tiniest part of such a day.
Perfect. Run off and be happy now, you two gorgeous people!

ReplyDeleteI was transported. What a beautiful wedding. A delight to see what happens when art + talent + love + beauty come together for a celebration... = wedding-wonderful!
And of course You contributed, which naturally makes sense in that equation!
Thanks for linking us to the event photos....it was an incredible day and what a wonderful way to use quilts!
ReplyDeleteWhat a gorgeous wedding! Everything is breathtaking, from the venue to the decorations (love the lanterns and fabric scraps!) to her lovely dress. Thanks for sharing the pictures!
ReplyDeleteWow!!! That is one beautiful wedding!
ReplyDeleteGreat use of fabric scraps. I wonder if she sewed them shut or used some method to undo them and reuse them again later, maybe in a small quilt (like a baby quilt?;)
ReplyDeleteTheir wedding website is just breathtaking. Thanks for sharing! That joy is contagious!
Spectacular! Love it.
ReplyDeleteI love the use of quilt on the hay bails! This is the sort of wedding I dream of. Simple, country, family-filled... and I've never seen fabric scraps used in a wedding, that is so great!
ReplyDeletegorgeous wedding!
ReplyDeleteI went to the photographer's webstie to see more. thanks for sharing!
What a beautiful wedding. My daughter was just married at the end of July - you can imagine how pleased and surprised I was when she put the wedding quilt that I made on display. The display was nothing compared to the display of quilts here. They are absolutely beautiful.
ReplyDeletesuch a beautiful wedding and I love the way they used the fabric scraps! sometimes simplicity is the best
ReplyDeleteWhat beautiful patterns and fabrics. Love it all! Beautiful family too. I love love quilting too but I too have 5 kiddos and they seem absorb any spare time, but I love it. Food is my other passion, when I have time I try and keep up on my food blog, but time is scarce these days. One day... just one day I will be able to create ll the pretty things I have in my mind and and make yummy things for my family to eat. :) Love your blog!
ReplyDeleteWhat beautiful photos and a lovely locale. Perfect.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful wedding! I love the handmade, artful touch. Gorgeous.
ReplyDeleteThis was a beautiful place to visit :) It totally made my day!
ReplyDeleteAnd so loved the aura of the celebration !
So cool indeed! What a fabulous idea!
ReplyDeleteI loved these wedding pictures, and the fact that Grandma got to be such an honored figure in their special event. And I love to participate in weddings, no matter how small the role, because it means that I get to be part of the "imparting of love" at the very begining of this special lifelong journey. Congratulations to you for being able to participate in this way!
ReplyDeleteWhat an absolutely beautiful wedding, truly personal and handmade- how nice of her for sharing! I also wanted to mention how beautiful the bride looks in her gorgeous gown that looks like it could be an heirloom.
ReplyDeletehow fun for you to see your gorgeous fabric used like this! Keep the great fabrics coming, can't wait to see the next collection:)

Looks completely magical! LOVE the quilts on haybales as seating for guests!
ReplyDeleteWOW!
ReplyDeleteI wish I could get married all over again. Amazing touches from the cowboy boots, gorgeous wedding dress, vintage crystal pin, and of course, Anna Maria's touches of color--These images will stay with me for a long time.

Oh c'est vraiment une si jolie idée ces bancs.
ReplyDeleteBravo
I am agog at the number of quilts they needed - I wonder if they were all made just for the wedding.
ReplyDeleteLove their slateboard-photo idea. We've been to weddings where they do the guest-video salute, but the slateboard-photo idea is wonderful. I'm thinking that would be good for significant birthdays as well (16, 21, 30 etc.) and baby showers/christnings.
