Greg + Amy (+ Amy's Granny) Are So Cool

pieces.and.love**

We recently sent some Studio Scraps to a very happy customer who let us know (in the customer comments section, no less) that she would be using said scraps as part of her wedding decor. We couldn't have imagined it more beautifully, and I was thrilled to receive images of the wedding.

Looking through the photos, (which you can find more of at the photographers' website-stunning!) it was evident that every piece of this day was put together with love....from this image of Amy's Grandmother imparting her wisdom to the guests....

...to the gorgeous quilts made by Amy's great-grandmothers and aunts that softened the hay bales seating everyone.

I'm pleased as spiked wedding punch that my fabrics were the teeny-tiniest part of such a day.

Perfect. Run off and be happy now, you two gorgeous people!

I don't think I have ever seen such a wonderful wedding! I cried at how much love was flowing and how beautiful and happy EVERYONE looked - and I don't even know these people! From all the way down under I wish them so many years of fun, laughter and love.

  18. Thanks so much for sharing the lovely pictures, Anna! I think that is one of the most beautiful weddings I've ever seen! I'm planning on printing some out for my wedding idea/style book.

I've thought over and over again how I could use your fabrics in my wedding some day (Lord willing!), and I think this is a super idea!

I hope you are having a lovely day, dear Anna! I'm very excited about your new book too.

Great use of fabric scraps. I wonder if she sewed them shut or used some method to undo them and reuse them again later, maybe in a small quilt (like a baby quilt?;)

Their wedding website is just breathtaking. Thanks for sharing! That joy is contagious!

What a beautiful wedding. My daughter was just married at the end of July - you can imagine how pleased and surprised I was when she put the wedding quilt that I made on display. The display was nothing compared to the display of quilts here. They are absolutely beautiful.

  29. What beautiful patterns and fabrics. Love it all! Beautiful family too. I love love quilting too but I too have 5 kiddos and they seem absorb any spare time, but I love it. Food is my other passion, when I have time I try and keep up on my food blog, but time is scarce these days. One day... just one day I will be able to create ll the pretty things I have in my mind and and make yummy things for my family to eat. :) Love your blog!

  34. I loved these wedding pictures, and the fact that Grandma got to be such an honored figure in their special event. And I love to participate in weddings, no matter how small the role, because it means that I get to be part of the "imparting of love" at the very begining of this special lifelong journey. Congratulations to you for being able to participate in this way!

  42. I am agog at the number of quilts they needed - I wonder if they were all made just for the wedding.

Love their slateboard-photo idea. We've been to weddings where they do the guest-video salute, but the slateboard-photo idea is wonderful. I'm thinking that would be good for significant birthdays as well (16, 21, 30 etc.) and baby showers/christnings.
