And in this corner

Here are some very early morning photos of another studio wall that got some color recently. Miss Form is wearing a dress by Juliana in progress. You've seen the airy blue wall here and there and I am enjoying how it mimics the early morning light from the windows. Then there's the deep straw-ish color I shared recently too.

I'm pleased now to introduce you to the creamy-coral-pink wall. This space is so large and multi-functional that choosing one color for all the walls felt a daunting task. I face a different wall depending on whether I'm sewing, painting, drawing, reading, blogging, cutting, etc. Choosing several colors makes this place feel like four different rooms in one. It makes it feel cozier. Thats a metal trashcan thats holding rolls of fabric. I have to wait until they get skinnier before I can fold them and put on the shelves happy and tidy.

This is not a new pillow, as you and my banner know. The bed now unfortunately looks more sink-into-able at around 3:25pm most days. That bed has some secrets of the napping variety.

time to make coffee. have a great weekend! xo,AM

  3. Great colors, and I love the trash can idea. I use different-sized galvanized metal tubs for storage in my craft room - the tubs are cheap and widely available here in Mexico. Also, please pass on my compliments to Juliana on her incredible dress!

  4. I can't believe that corner is EMPTY, except for the dress form.

Too bad Juliana won't be able to wear that wonderful creation to school! But here's an up-beat thought on that school uniform subject: makes the out-of-school dressing all the more fun.

I second that request, for the coral name & brand - we tried for that color in our guest room but ended up with canteloupe instead.

  21. I've been thinking that different colored walls won't work in my home, but now you've changed my mind when I see how fabulously you used them in your studio! Maybe Interior Design is next on your creative horizon!!!

Oh my goodness... I love the studio and you are so neat and organized. Last week I was going nuts with all the bolts in my studio (20 or more?). I couldn't figure out how to store... I'm off to home depot first thing in the morning to get a couple metal cans! There was an avalanche in here this afternoon.

  27. Hi there-that blue is called Adriatic Mist by Behr. All the other colors in the studio are a result of my mixology with the gazillion cans of house paint I have.
I really enjoy the blue-feels like daylight. Sorry for my slow response!

Ah, I'm glad to see I'm not completely nuts in choosing this color (Adriatic Mist) for my son's room.

Now, choosing Hunter Green for the ceiling and the interior of the closet, that may not be such a good idea ... Why does my wife let me make these decisions?
