Looking Up

Feeling so much better. Antibiotics don't hurt. Nor do candy canes, twinkling lights, sparkling snowflakes, homemade cookies, happy children home for break, cuddley overgrown puppies, loving husbands, squishy pillows, warm quilts or hot tea with honey.

Where shall I have your prescription sent?

I love how dogs always look like they're thinking about how hard their lives are when they're about to take a nap :)

I too am enjoying some antibiotics, steroids and holiday fun! No pesky sinus infection is going to keep me down!

Your home looks so warm and welcoming! Happy Holidays!

Oh, I like all your decorations, and that light bulb chandelier is particularly interesting.

But why did you make your poor doggie put up all the trimmings? I fear it was too much for him! :)

So glad you are feeling better! I've had the same nonsense for FOUR weeks! Love how your big yellow dog does the same thing as my big yellow dog - nothing! Love the wreath! Know what you mean about doing things while sick and on meds! Sometimes you wonder what the heck you were thinking and sometimes you are genius!

Glad you're feeling better - sounds like the ideal prescription for any and everything.

I LOVE these three photos. You have such a glorious house. And tucked in a box somewhere I have those same so cheesy they're perfect little bells that always make me feel holidayish. I think I bought them 20 years ago. (Apologies if yours are like really nice, actual silver ones or something!) :)

First of all, I love your chandelier with the hanging bulbs decorated with bell garland. I've never seen anything quite like it. Second, I love your dog. I want to kiss him right on the nose and rub his soft big ears.
Your home looks beautiful, AM, and I'm glad you are feeling better!

I don't have a cold but I do have three little boys under 5 and another little boy due soon, with too many things to do and too much noise in this house and could really use some cold medicine to liven things up a bit ;)

Gorgeous images - I know exactly how your dog feels! Greetings from Sydney Australia where it's supposed to be summer, but I'm guessing it's warmer where you are. Have a wonderful Christmas with your beautiful family.

hope you are on the mend. I was just saying yesterday that I thought I might need to start something to cure me of my fatigue. sigh.

Oh yes please that does sound like good medicine. :)

I love these images and your list. I would be very happy for just an overgrown puppy and squishy pillow to be sent to the south of New Zealand please, to arrive in time for post Christmas fatigue. Hope you're feeling better already!

OH, we have this same light fixture in our dining room, but with long skinny tube bulbs. And mine currently has Swedish straw star ornaments hanging from it...
I'll post a pic on my blog for ya...

yeah, meds can totally help. I've been sick for at least a month- but 5 short days of antibiotics, steriods and an inhaler have made all the difference in the world.
why oh why did i wait so long to get it checked out.

I like your green bells, and those pictures behind look so pretty. I paint roses; they are hard to paint.

I wish I could be cosy at this time of year - it was 30 degrees (celsius) here in N/E Victoria yesterday! Love all the lights you have.
