Did I mention.....

...that we've planted ourselves elsewhere for this week?

And new toes are feeling wet sand for the first time and also feeling the kisses of a dozen cousins, aunts uncles who are meeting those toes for the first time.

Of course we have several experienced grown beach babies too, who know just what to do.

  14. How wonderful and what sweet toes! Seeing him in his little hat brought back fond memories of my (now 20 year old) son's first beach trip. His little hat fell off and I had to chase it down the beach. hehe Thank goodness I got a pic first.

  20. we usually go to Pawley's Island (just south of Litchfield) every June...this is our first year NOT going and we sure missed it....hope you had a super time there!!!

  32. Enjoy the beach with your little baby! My little boy saw the sand and waves for the first time this year (he turned one just before we went). He didn't like it very much and spent most of our beach time sleeping on me!

  41. Oh, Anna, Litchfield/Pawley's is the most family-friendly area -- take it from a South Carolina girl. :) You should try to visit Brookgreen Gardens while you're in town, as well as Atalaya castle at Huntington Beach (directly across the highway from Brookgreen). Enjoy!!
