I keep my promises. I said I would give you a cut-out for more felt fun and here it is. Along with some more inspiration from Juliana on other great shapes. Just click on the instruction image below and save the larger file in the new window to your desktop then print it out. From me to you! Also, if you packaged it along with the required materials in a clear freezer bag, you'd have yourself a fantastic gift! Share the love!

Gather up your gear my friends, the weekend is on it's way.
I'm looking out at our first spitting of snow here in Tennessee.

These are great! I'm feeling the need to head off to the fabric store and buy some felt.
I've had garlands on the brain ever since discovering your felt garlands. I'd never given much thought to garlands and now I keep finding places all over the house where we now 'need' a garland!
Your site is inspirational!

Anna Maria.....HELP! What am I doing wrong? I saved this to my desktop and printed it...but it's HUGE and I only get the owl and a tiny bit of another part. I'm not a whiz-kid at this stuff, but I'm not a dummy either. Help me out, would ya? Thanks! And...thanks for sharing and HAPPY FRIDAY!
Hi Mike. Yikes attack of the giant owl!
Since its saved as a jpeg you may want to try opening it in an image manipulation type software like photoshop or illustrator or something. I use all Linux software (because my man is a tech man) so I can't speak specifically on what you would do within that software. BUT! My guess is that you should go to your print options and either select a resolution of 150 dpi (which is how it the image is saved) or select that you want it printed in an 8.5x11 format or letter size format. That should scale it appropriately for you. Good Luck! Hope it works. If not give me your address and I'll mail ya one!

Thanks Anna Maria, what a "hootiful" tutorial :)
Good one Lucy!

A quick hello and a thank you. I've just discovered your blog & I think I'm going to love visiting from now on :-)
This is so cute- somehow, someway there must be a way to use this in crazy quilting.
Such whimsy!
I love the ornaments! Thanks for the breath of fresh air I get when I read your blog. Hopefully that'll be fresh air with blowing snow!
Oh, TOO cute! Just adorable! Visiting you and your blog is always such a bright and happy part of my day!

Hi Anna Maria !
I found your blog by sheer accident and fell in love with your owl. In Germany, owls are pretty much fashionable for children´s clothing and your owl fits perfectly to the embroidery datas which can be purchased at the German online-shop www.farbenmix.eu. Farbenmix even sells an e-book for an owl-shoulderbag (all sales revenues of the e-book until 31 December 2007 will be donated to a children hospice !)
I made one of your owls of washable felt and put it on a shirt. If you are interested, you can take a look at it in my blog (which is written in German and English) and there you can also find the links to the mentioned embroidery collections and e-book.
Anyways, I wanted to thank you for the pattern !!
BR from Germany, Chris
